I have seen plenty of ftb 1.2.x servers running but i wonder where they got the server files downloaded? I was on the webpage and there was only the official ftb infinity 1.0.2 which my server runs actually. Where is the official server files of 1.2.x ?

I have just checked ftb download page. The latest version I could download here http://www.feed-the-beast.com/server-downloads is FTB Infinity 1.1.0. Why isn't the latest offered to download? That's weird.
No, the FTB client has a download server button somewhere. Don't have it here to check but that's how I got the latest server on my machine.
Yes its a bit annoying for those who don't use the launcher
