Point Ares FTB​

The server is now updated to DW20 version 1.0.11. It will be updated to 1.0.12 once it is Preferred - Losing a world file because DW1.0.12 is glitchy wouldn't be fun.

Point Ares FTB is a FTB Direwolf20 server. We do not have buycraft. There are no ranks. That means that you don't have to worry about paying for anything, such as chunk loaders, macerators, etc... When you join you are as equal as any other player. We don't have a fancy spawn or anything, just a bunch of people having a fun time. Unlike most servers, this is on a dedicated server - not a generic minecraft host. We have an actual server to play on. Most servers don't have this because the server admins don't know what they're doing. What does this mean?
  • All resources are dedicated to us
  • There is full control over the server, meaning we can use java flags to further optimize the server
  • We don't have to worry about host downtime, as we're our own host
This is what a generic minecraft host's panel looks like. This is what an actual server's panel looks like.

We have all mods enabled. It is on medium difficulty.

Rules:
  • No griefing
  • No cheats/xray/etc
  • Swearing's fine. If you aren't ok with swearing consider installing Pahimar's mod, ChitChat. I have not personally tested this mod and can't be sure about how well it works. However, Pahimar has made EE2/EE3 so I'm sure the quality is quite good.

  • 8GB Ram
  • Debian 7 x64 (That's the server's operating system)
  • 4 CPU Core @ 3.2GHz
  • 80GB RAID10 HDD (7200RPM)
  • 1GBps up/down port
Application: You must apply here to play on the server. Applications take about 30 seconds. The entire system is automated (including auto-whitelisting). Once you apply (again, instant), you may join at ftb.chipperyman573.com
