Hello fellow Beasts,
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Akivar, and I have been playing FTB/MineCraft for around a year or so. I also have an Issue with Camel Casing based on Emphasis. (Please Excuse my Habit.) I am an aspiring Game Designer / Person who has Game Ideas who can't figure out how to put them to use. I like to toy around with several Ideas all the time and Rarely do I get a chance to do something with those Ideas. It should also be noted that I may or may not be able to finish this Project or may abandon it at any time, unless strong interests keeps me tied to my computer.
I have always enjoyed MineCraft and FTB and all the things they can offer us for things to do; however, playing Survival Single/Multi Player can be boring if you don't have a goal. This can make the End-Game no matter what mods you have installed seem pointless.
Here's my Solution to that.
Dungeons - Have you ever found an abandoned mine shaft pointless near the completion of your Solar-Powered Infusion alter of doom with your Quarries of Thousands of Diamonds? Dungeons would offer you a new way to play, very similar to games like WOW and RuneScape where you can go into a Separate instance. Unlike those games though you will not be able to bring anything with you. Should you bring items with you they will be Destroyed. You will have to start with only the tools provided in the Dungeon.
These Dungeons will be Themed based around several Ideas. - Dungeons will be ('StandAlone' MystCraft Ages) built a Certain Way as to ensure a Linear Play Style.
Survival - How long can you survive, can you make it to the end of the dungeon, will the RNG be in your favor?
Challenge - Chose a path and make it through to the end Similar to Survival but with more of a Challenge to it and more of a Focus.
Mod-Themed - Depending on the Mod you may have to interact with several functions of that mod in order to be able to complete said dungeon, these Mod-Themed Dungeons will be tested and implemented based on how well they Survive the tests of time and player intuition.Puzzle - Submit the right series of Redstone Signals in order to move to the next room figure out how to trick the switches and survive a Maze with, Pit-Falls, Hidden Doors, Painful Walls and a possible Monster around every corner.
In each Dungeon the Resources provided will be limited and Your Rewards will be well worth it.
Mod-Pack - I am planning on making this in Unleashed 1.1.4; however, should the need arise for more Items and Monsters I will be also Thinning the herd of the Current Mods to make room for only the Mods Required to make this run. The other thing for this Mod-Pack will be taking out Certain Items from being Loot-Drops or removing the Crafting Recipes for Items that would otherwise make Dungeon-Craft unbalanced.
Keep Posted for more Information of the Mod-Pack, should this ever take off.
Map-Pack - This is where the Birth of Dungeon Craft will happen. I will hopefully be releasing Maps for testing to key players to be able to; see my progress, make spotlights, give suggestions, and/or help mod/build maps.
There will be a Few Ways the Players can help as well.
Provide MystCraft Ages / Map-Packs in Return to me and I will play through them and the Dungeons and see how well they are and then see if there are any Conflicts with the Original Intention of the Idea.
Please Note - That by providing the Map-Packs in Return you are providing me with the right to make changes as how I and/or other players see fit. (Note: This should not be a problem for anyone for some time.)
Server-Side Support - I would like to consider this project worthy of placing on Servers, Such as the HungerGames style. I will have to play with Several Different ways to make this work; however, MystCraft will be a Strong Component in making Dungeon-Craft work properly. (Due to Ease of Manipulation of ClientSide Files/Configs)
Special Notes - I have mentioned MystCraft Several times within this post, I do not intend to change the Mod of MystCraft nor will I attempt to make changes to any of the Mods that will be used to make a Mod-Pack (Private/Public), a Map-Pack (Private/Public) or a Server (Private/Public) Distribution of any Files will be done so only on a "Sharing" bases. I do not intend to offend anyone with anything that I have said or posted within this post. Should I have offended you please feel free to Contact me through Private Message or in the #FTB Chat.

Working on a 64x64 - Pyramid Base - (SandStone Stairs)
Will be pretty awesome starter base for everyone. I am also using the least amount of resources possible, "Non-Renewable" and focusing on not making Machines in the First Build of the Map. Will be posting a Map as soon as possible!
