I've already tried relaunching as administrator, as well as using the jar. Both are not working. Any more suggestions?

the best way to figure out if the mod is installed is checking how many mods are enabled in the corner of the of the title screen[DOUBLEPOST=1386990223][/DOUBLEPOST]oh i just remembered had this problem before you have to force update in options.
How do you force update when the launcher won't start?

I repeat the launcher will not open. I can't go to the options tab because the only window that pops up is the console
oh well i just thought that you meant the launcher didn't download your game

just the same i have a lot of ideas of what went wrong first off ,
did you go into the administrator account on your computer because sometimes you cant do something
by simply running as the administrator, another thing that might be an issue is you might be running an
old version of the launcher that is no longer supported, and another thing punting the application on your
desktop can sometimes cause an issue, and lastly are you using windows xp or older because if the
application is too new you might need to install .net framework but even this might not work if its
too new

I've already done all the basic troubleshooting, and my console log is at the very top. Can I please have some help?

I exited my Comodo and also tried it with gamemode. I'll try uninstalling it and seeing what happens

And that seemed to fix the problem! After the uninstall and a computer restart, I'm good to go! Thanks a lot! :D
