FTB crashing and freezing (direwolf20 pack)

I have been playing FTB for a little while now but I've had this problem that seems to just keep getting worse. It's happened in vanilla minecraft a little but it was bearable, the game (and the computer) froze up for 30seconds-2min it seemed like and than just continued on normally. Ever since I first downloaded FTB and played on it was fine for a little while but than it started freezing up on a regular basis. Recently the game actually froze than eventually came up with the "blue screen of death" and automatically restarted the computer. This happened once in a while so I tried re-downloading/installing FTB and for a day or so there were no crashes or freezes but than it all starts up again, when I hit f3 my used memory stays at around 20-50% even before freezing/crashing. I'm using a windows 7 PC I don't know exact specs but its was made around 2010 and it was a good computer at the time. I'll try anything any advice would help and if its just because I have a crappy computer please say that it is. Thank you

This is to rule out any issues with your setup.
Please attempt to launch the modpack, and open a new world save to make sure the setup is correct.
Now, continue on to check your previous saves, changes to the pack, textures, etc. until you're able to reproduce the error with the clean setup.

When the error has been repeated, please post your complete client-side (launcher) console log in debug-mode to pastebin.com and link your paste URL here.

But it almost sounds more like a problem with your computer, rather than one with FTB.
