Hello, This is my first post on this fourm.

I have been having problems with Feed the Beast crashing. (I will post as much information as i can. )

Some mod packs will crash when i load them up, i will be playing for a few minutes, and then they will crash.
They do not crash upon load up.

FTB Version - 1.2.4

Java Version - Version 7, Update 21.

Issue - Crashing when i play for any amount of time, it is random.. (And i do not know how to cause it.)

Error logs - (Client) http://pastebin.com/nCR6zh0k (Server) - http://pastebin.com/Us1jNRBQ

I hope i provided enough detail. (And i hope you can give a detailed explanation on how to fix it)

Check your installation of FTB. The launcher should have its own folder, preferably on the desktop. Follow this guide exactly to install it the recommended way. If you are still experiencing problems post a console log in debug mode to pastebin.

Ok, i downloaded Java7u21 and i install it for 64 bit... But it shows up as 32 bit, this is frustrating.

I also played around, and it crashed.

(the log is from the console, i pressed the paste to pastebin button.)

To fix the 32bit problem uninstall the 32bit version of Java and any other version of Java that is not Java 7 update 21 64bit.

"(The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open)"
I'm not sure what the cause of these errors are, but I remember reading that one of the causes might be that the Anti-virus program might have taken over them. Try updating your AV and/or disabling it or make an exception.

You can't install 64 bit. Your OS is 32 bit. (according to the most recent log)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7
Ash not to be rude, but the only reason he has an x86 Program Files folder is to keep the 32bit and 64bit programs separate. So he does have 64bit windows. I'm not sure why Java does not display that the processor is 64bit when 32bit Java is installed. Maybe it is because of a limitation of the 32bit programming.

Regardless of Java it should still show 64 bit.

Edit: unless somehow he's got it set up to run 32 bit, which is just silly.
