Details of the issue Hi all - my 9 year old kid has been playing Crackpack for about 2 months building a (I think) pretty impressive world. He plays single player. Suddenly today the game stopped working after his computer battery ran dry midgame. Now when we try to load the game we get the initial screen where you choose your game (single, multiplayer ect) ok, but as soon as we enter the game itself it crashes to the laucher screen saying "The game crashed whilst loading nbt data" and "Error: java.util.zip.ZipException: Incorrect data check".
Unfortunatly we have not made any manual saves. I have tried to paste the log and any help would be much appreciated. My kid is pretty sad that all his hard "work" seems to have vanished :( Needless to say we are both noobs so you may need to spell it out a bit

That pack should contain some setup for backups, have you checked in the instance folder for a backup of the world?
(right click the pack on the launcher and select "open folder" and look for a folder named backup or backups)

If the battery ran out midgame, then most likely the world is corrupt beyond repair as it might not have been able to save to disk as it should.

So I found a number of folders in the location you described. They are zip files - what do I do with them? Thanks!

The zip-files are backups of the saved world/worlds - so unzip and put in the Saves-folder - make sure to get the folder with the save-name, not the folder with the date/timestamp (the save-name folder is inside the date/timestamp folder. At the saves folder: the old save that's broken is already there, so rename that folder to something else, and when you know the backup works - you can remove the broken world save)
