Details of the issue I host private minecraft servers on a regular basis for my friends, and have recently started hosting some modded servers. However when I try to start any of the FTB packs as server's they give the above error message.

After I download the zip file, I unzipped with 7-zip.
Then I ran the FTBInstall.bat, followed accepting the eula agreement, then running the ServerStart.bat which gives me the error. Thanks in advance for your time.

Try rerunning the install.bat. The server is missing some library files which the install.bat should download.

There seems to be some issues with the wget and some of the servers hosting the launcherwrapper. If you still fail after above suggestion, try this:

Download this manually:
https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/minecraft/launchwrapper/1.12/launchwrapper-1.12.jar

And put it here:
...\libraries\net\minecraft\launchwrapper\1.12\launchwrapper-1.12.jar

If there is a 0 byte file (or any other), replace it with the fresh one.

Post new log if it still fails.

https://libraries.minecraft.net/net/minecraft/launchwrapper/1.12/launchwrapper-1.12.jar

And put it here:
...\libraries\net\minecraft\launchwrapper\1.12\launchwrapper-1.12.jar

If there is a 0 byte file (or any other), replace it with the fresh one.

Post new log if it still fails.

i tried it but i only get this message

and when i have java 8 installed i get this. The one i posted above is with java 7

when i tried again to uppdate tha launchwrapper i got thits (java 8)

running install script!

i think i fund the solution downgrade to java 7 to fix permsize problem and the watch this tutorial for missing files

Can we refrain posting "downgrade to java 7" as solution?

1. Most of the current packs requires java8. Java 7 might work with some packs but not all.

i got it working by downloading the launcher wrapper. thanks grandrolf

Alright, I had the same problem and got it working. However, I got the same error even when replacing the launchwrapper file. What I did to fix it was place the launchwrapper file in the proper directory on a fresh server BEFORE ever running FTBinstall.
