Title FTB Beyond Crash When Almost Loaded

Details of the issue I have used this modpack tons of time in the past before on the same computer. I stopped playing it for a few months, but when I tried to boot it up again this week it crashes every time I try to get it to work. It usually loads to about 6/7 or something similar before Crashing.
I have tried various versions, including the most recent. Uninstalled and reinstalled the pack multiple times. Allocated 4,5, and 6 GB of RAM (my computer has 8GB of RAM). I have uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher. Tried different launchers (Twitch, FTB, MultiMC).
I have read various places that the Minecraft update to 1.12 might have something to do with it, but I can't figure out anything on my own. Not sure what to do. I've tried basically every forum and can't find anything.
