Hey guys, i'm the guy having problems, pls halp. ;~;
Well Hello! And how are you doing today? Glad you could join the party.... :)

Steps to follow so we can help you.
  1. Backup your FTB folder.
  2. Did I mention Backups?
  3. Delete your FTB folder and FTBLauncher folder
  4. UPDATE JAVA! Get it from HERE.
    • Install the 32 Bit Java
    • Install the 64 bit Java
    • Restart your computer
  5. Re-download the FTB launcher
  6. Use the recommended version of the pack your trying to play.
  7. Launch Minecraft. DON"T do anything, just launch, then quit at the title screen.
  8. Repeat step #7 until it stops asking for a mod pack update. Always update the mod pack.
Now try to join the server. If/When it Fails/Crash's/Freeze, please post both the crash log and the console log. A description of exactly what you were doing the moment before bad things happen would also be nice.

:D

Do you know where FTB is saving everything? No?....
  • Launch FTB
  • Select Options
  • Look where it says "Install folder..."
  • Now you know. (And knowing is half the battle.... G.I.JOE!!!!)
Now that we know where FTB is saving everything.....

  1. Open FTB. Make sure the console is open. Set the log level to "Debug". Go cause whatever it is that is cause you problems to happen. :D

Now that FTB has the information we need, lets go get it.
  • Open windows Explorer. (Or whatever it is called on a Mac.)
  • Go to the folder where FTB says it is installed.
  • In this folder should be the name of the Mod-pack you are using... Open it.
  • Open the minecraft folder that is inside of the mod-pack folder.
  • The first file we are looking for is called "ForgeModLoader-client-0"
  • The second file we are going after is in a folder called..... "crash-reports"
  • When you open that folder you should find a file called "crash-(a whole bunch of numbers)" fyi... Those numbers are ....
    • 4 digit year
    • 2 digit month
    • 2 digit day
    • Hour of the day (24hour clock, 00-23. If bigger then 13, just subtract 12 to find the time in the afternoon.)
    • Min.
    • Sec
  • You are going to want the Last Crash report and forge log.
After you get these, PLEASE post them to pastebin, and post those links here. :) Much easier then trying to post them here, and I know I don't like attachments, unless they are for my weapons. :D.

I do now. ^-^ So both our Java's are fully updated, I made sure to have him screenshare. :3 He has no maps, texture packs, nothin, so tomorrow we're gonna go through and delete the whole deal, redownload, then grab the logs. Then we'll see whats up, I still think it's a driver thing, just cause all three of the sme computer, have the exact same problem, but I don't know what it would be in terms of that, so heres hoping we'll see. ^^

I generally think it is a good idea to have it installed to "C:\FTB\"...

Inside the folder you do have it installed to, open the mod pack you are having issues with, then the minecraft folder. There should be a folder in their called crash log or something very close... The log(s) are going to be in their. Upload the last one.

Yeah, neither of us have a crash log, (or anything like that) in that folder, my guess for me at least, is because my game hasnt crashed yet. And his, technically hasnt either, its just cuts the program, dosnt say or do anything, just presses the button, then instant desktop. nothin. :s

Ok, so looking over the entire log, it seems that the log is missing some stuff.... How to fix it...
  1. On the client (Your computer, not the server), Make sure all FTB & Minecraft are closed
  2. Start FTB. Can you see the console window?
    • Go into the option tab and check the box to show the console. Might be under advanced options... Restart FTB
  3. Select the Console window and down by the bottom, there is a drop down box you can click. Not the one that says ALL)
  4. Click the box, and change it to debug.
  5. Go into options and force update
  6. Launch the game
  7. Try to enter the IP address.
  8. When it crash's/cuts the program, go to the directory where the forge log is, and upload that one. It will have more information in it that we can use.

Sorry this is taking so long to get fixed, but we will get it working. :D

I'm still here at least. Renalds has been very busy with college. We'll mess around with it this weekend.
Sorry for the holdup.
