Free offline games?

I'm going away next week, visiting home for my birthday. Unfortunately, my family there doesn't have internet atm so I'll need something I can play offline to occupy my time.
So, any good or interesting games you guys can think of that are free to download? Because all I have atm is OFF (a pretty awesome/fun game in my opinion) and that won't last me the whole stay. ^^;

Yeah, but unavailibility of internet makes it kinda boring to play against the AI to be honest... Most free games are online only, sorry dude.

Dwarf Fortress (obviously): A fortress building/management game that literally starts by generating a vast world, and simulating hundreds if not thousands of years of history, for all of the civilizations. Unfortunately, very hard to learn WITH access to the wiki, and almost impossible without.

Most of the older games here: Many of them are fairly challenging 2D platformers, and the newer ones are flash running in a browser (so not quite offline).
