  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue:
Hello everyone, I have a gaming laptop provided with Nvidia GT650M, 8gb ram and i7-3630QM @2.4 Ghz. I am still wondering, is my computer not good enough to run this pack? Or are there any settings that can help playing without lagging. I am asking this because in the past I was able to play the pack with no great issues and now it's all laggy and impossible to play. Thank you

Look if minercfat is using your nvidia or your integrated GPU (I at least suspect that you have one considering its a laptop)

Play a bit with fastcraft(disable it if its enabled and enable it if its disabled)

look on-line for some jvm arguments.

play a bit with the total amount of ram allocated but never go above 4 GB

If the F3 screen on the right shows the graphics card on vanilla mc, it should apply to the modpack as well right?

that was only added in since 1.8 and all ftb mod packs use 1.7.

Exactly, what I meant was: if on 1.8 the F3 screen shows that I'm using the nvidia GPU, I am using that even when playing 1.7 packs right?

Well I checked on device manager and it appears to be that I only have the nvidia gpu. So I'll try and play with the settings you told me. Thanks

The option that effects my performance the most besides render distance is if clouds are enabled or disabled
