So I've just installed FTB and got access to a friend's server and all that, I was looking forward to a good day's play, except that whenever I log in, after 25-30 seconds (and that time is relatively constant, I've checked), it goes from 50+ fps to 0. Essentially, it freezes, unfreezing every few seconds to update the frame. Needless to say it's unplayable.
Basic stuff; using Hamachi to log in, my internet's plenty fast enough, allocated 1GB to FTB and F3 ingame shows it's only using 25% at the time of the issues. PC specs are overclocked i7 (and no, it's not overheating), GTX 560ti, 8GB RAM.
Any help would be great... I really want to try this awesome mod pack.
