Has anyone here read an Asimov novel?

It is 1996. Robots with moderately advanced positronic brains are beginning to be commercialized and have suddenly taken the world by storm. Your young daughter, Gloria Weston, has become obsessed with her mechanical friend, the silent "Robbie". Your wife doesn't see the appeal. She sides with the anti-robot sentiment. She believes that Gloria's obsession with her mute and robotic "friend" will break the development of your dear daughter's social skills. You believe that the future is coming and that preparing your daughter for it is the best thing to do. What now? It's up to you.

"Foundation: Beginnings" is my recreation of the classic short story collection, The Complete Robot. The author Isaac Asimov was a literary genius. This modpack strives to reintroduce him into the information era, where his works are at their most relevant.

Who will play "Foundation: Beginnings" and its under progress sequels?

Hard/soft science fiction fans, even people who don't understand the term.

People who appreciate quality modpacks.

Futurists and Anti-Futurists.

Anyone who likes a good choose-your-own-adventure-esque story.

What is my plan of action for my Foundation modpack series?

Well, the series will be split into three volumes, or modpacks: Robot, Empire, and Foundation, played in that order. Each volume very loosely ties into the others. Each volume is split into sections, or quest lines, based on the content of the book or collection.

The books, however, are not required reading and, as long as you play from the first pack, you should be able to catch the story.

The pack is currently in alpha and not playable yet. When it is, I will make an announcement on this thread.
