Found strange black pillar with faces

I've just stumbled across a creepy black obelisk... anyone know what mod this is from, and what it does?

Note, it looks different from an Eldritch Monolith

The Eldritch Monolith is the TC2 version. What you've found is the TC3 version. It's part of what's needed to move nodes.

thaumcraft 3 its used for either decoration or for a very advanced item in TC3

Thanks. I used the search feature for black pillar, etc, found nothing. Next person to come along should find this. Probably doesn't need to be a sticky if search works?
