Problem ForgeEssentials Permissions

Would anyone be able to help me through setting up permissions? basically i want a few groups (Owner, Member, Donator)
Owners: Build anywhere, use all commands
Member: Build anywhere, but not be able to use commands like /home, /spawn ect
Donator: Same as member for now

I looked at the wiki and tried to disable /spawn for the members group, but it was still possible to use the command? i typed as it is on the wiki using the default groups it says there are.

Anyone would be able to help? First time admin

Have you tried this?

/p group members deny ForgeEssentials.BasicCommands.spawn

Yes I tried that, but the player in that group could still use the /spawn command, im not sure what the problem is
