I was wondering if anyone has been able to use Worldedit successfully with forge multiparts. I have been watching forge essentials but its not out for 1.6.4 yet. The pack I'm running is very similar to the DW20 1.6.4 pack.

Currently when I try to copy and paste any blocks that have a multipart in them, the block will be empty. However when I try to place a block in there that space can't be occupied. If I use worldedit on that specific block I can forge it to become a block (non-multipart block) using //set 0 for instance. From then on that block doesnt have any issues. //undo also fixes this issue but that hardly is a healthy solution.

Has anyone successfully used worldedit on multiparts in 1.6.4?

Nope, not working for me either.
It took a while for worldedit to work with RedPower microblocks, just give it time.

The page Ive been keeping an eye on says they are working on one, but it probably wont prerelease before 1.7.4 forge hits. They are rebuilding FE from scratch so it will be a 2.0. I'm willing to deal with the limitations with my current system for now. At least until I want to do a live restore of a selected area that had multiparts in it.

WorldEdit does not work with Forge 100% because it wasn't designed for it. Sometimes things can break.

MCEdit on the other hand will preserve all Forge data, if you don't mind doing offline editing.

Yea I know what it was designed for, but I know what I'd like to use it for. The purpose is for live in-server editing. Its for a multiplayer survival server. Currently worldedit is working just fine for most things. I have inventory use turned on so its really helpful for doing things that would normally take tons of time. Definately helps with more complex rounded shapes.

Still holding our for a solid release of Forge Essentials. They are apparently rewriting the code and releasing as a 2.0. When that is I could not say.
