Somewhere over the rainbow.
Is there any alternative to the excellent Forge Essentials (that hasn't updated to MC1.6.4) without having to run MCPC+ which kills the mob spawning rate and TPS so much I had to remove MCPC+ after only 1hr of playtime... Note : The only plugin I had installed was Essentials latest version available there, I don't need anything else, don't need permission or grief prevention or anything like that, I just need the /warp /home /back commands

Your mcpc+ configuration or version may have been off use mcpc #188 for 1.6.4 it runs minecraft on more threads and allows plugins. There are pretty much no downsides to it and you should use it.

The most recent MCPC+ recommended build for 1.6.4 is build #181. According to the change log spawn rates were fixed in build #179. Personally I wouldn't be so fast to ditch MCPC, it's well maintained, stable and has better performance than standard Forge.

Running just MCPC+ and the core Essentials plugin would be ideal for what you want. Using the Essentials config you can set it up so that you don't even need permissions.

Build 184 of MCPC is the only recent MCPC that is compatible with FTB 1.6.4 currently due to the build being based on forge 953. IF you try to put a higher MCPC build in it will just crash due to Railcraft conflicting with the latest build of Forge. Build 185 of MCPC and up are all based on the latest forge of 963. Once FTB updates to using Forge 963 this should fix a few other bugs that are being caused by MCPC such as the MFR Grinder / Slaughterhouse not passing playerdeathentities to plugins such as coreprotect and world guard. Also should fix a few Railcraft issues since the latest Railcraft version 8.3.2 is based on forge 963 which I believe FTB is waiting on other mods to be updated to the current forge release.

Could be misreading but this is my understanding of it. So i would suggest holding off from ditching MCPC+ for now it is currently probably the best one to use in my opinion in regards to compatability with bukkit plugins
