[Forestry] What to do with the old bees?

I was wondering, when I finally reach Imperial & Industrious, is there any reason for me to keep the princesses for Noble, Majestic, Diligent, & Unweary? My original plan was to setup 5 apiaries for each species which probably would involve alot of time, breeding and resources but if I don't need those bees anymore, then that would definitely be great.

Also once I get Pure Cultivates, is there any reason to continue having seperate apiaries for Forest & Meadows?

if you have extrabees installed, recycle the lower tier bees into liquid DNA, if you don't have it installed... install it

On the mindcrack pack, it's already installed. On dw20, it's supposedly coming with the next update.

I'm on Direwolf20 modpack. No extrabees here though bees seem complicated enough, dunno if I want to dive into extra bees

If you want to dive into extra bees, you'll definetly want a bunch of noble and diligent bees, as both of these have several new mutations. Majestic has one(?) new and all the hive bees have at least one new mutation.

I'm on the DW pack too, have installed Extrabees manually every update

I normally keep one pure line for later breeding purposes.... well, a pure line with all the best traits breeded in.. meadows with cave dwelling, flyer, nocturnal, fast producer, 3 or 4 fertility...

I normally don't breed in long life as it hampers cross-breeding. once you automate the apiaries, it really doesn't matter. the extra drones I send off to a gene pool or ic2 recycler.
