Forestry Tree Breeding

I'm having a trouble with the tree breeding. The trees I have right now are the Silver Birch Tree, Apple Oak Tree and the Silver Lime Tree. I have all 3 trees around 4 apiarys that are breeding bees. None of the leaves on the trees have mutated for a long time and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong

Spectacles are needed to see any mutated leaves, @Coldjuice like this Gimp said. You may have trees full of mutated leaves and you wouldn't know unless you put on some special glasses first.

Looking through glass is the other thing that I know of that can muck this up. It could just be that you're not waiting long enough for your bees, and that they have a low pollination speed/range.

Try encasing it in glass like this. (water on the top is optional- this was an old experiment for testing an undersea base)

If you put the saplings through the treealyzer, they become forestry's version.
