Forestry Multiblock Farm Question.

Ok, so how could I get a multiblock farm to harvest rubber wood?

I believe you'd have to set up a manual farm according to the Rubber Plantation specifications from the Wiki if you're after the sticky resin

if you're after the actual wood (aren't there 3 types now?) then you may have to make a Managed Arboretum.

I want the wood. The farm is on managed and it won't harvest IC2 rubber wood, the Factorization wood won't grow and humus, and RP2 rubber wood takes forever to grow and the multiblock won't plant it. I just need an effeicent way to harvest it.

The arboretum (wood chopper) farm currently only grows vanilla and forestry trees and chops them down. The rubber plantation will harvest the rubber from ic2 rubber trees. And you can plant them next to each other. As in each trunk next to the other remove the leaves and plant a new one till you have a 6x6 rubber wood tree block. The farm will harvest the rubber even on the ones on the inside (so far as I can tell , I might be wrong on that but try it yourself.)

they might plant and chop them, but the question is if they'd pick up the sticky resin that gets dropped from chopping rubber trees down... though that might be solved by slapping on a cleaning machine module

if you include a cleaning machine in your cart it should, it acts like a vaccuum in a 7x7 radius centered on the cart, will get back to you with confirmation once I get chance to test it out on my world

my cleaning machine had no problem picking up neighbouring fir saplings dropping from the automated turtle tree farm beside my oak tree one

Steve's cart won't plant IC2 rubber trees. I tried it the other day when I was getting low on rubber and had my Steve's cart tree farm idling with nothing to do.
