I've been trying to get the oily bees, i have the primeval ones, I also got to breeding the water ones but now for some reason, the Water queens won't breed because they are in a hostile environment, I tried moving them away from the machines, and still didn't work, I'm also beside a river with lily pads and that's where the apiaries are, this is bugging me.

Modpack : FTB Ultimate

There is also High flux in the area, but i don't see any nodes close by to my bees

Open up the apiary, check the middle tab - it should say something like Normal\Normal.

Then, analyze your bees and see what temperature and humidity tolerances it has. That'll tell you where you need to be. Hostile environment simply means that either the temperature or humidity in the biome doesn't fall within the bee's own tolerances, it has nothing to do with whats around the housing.

I don't yet have a bee analyzer, does it need power to run?

Ok so I ran around the world a little bit, but it's always in a hostile environment, and i ran into some weird things too, a witch, 3 big angry zombies and a high flux area with alot of wisps

I've analyzed them and they're ok
I'm thinking because of the flux in the area i could be wrong.

What are your bees tolerances, and what is the temp\humidity of the biome? Flux, rain, night, other nearby blocks, presence of flowers etc do not give the "Hostile Environment" message.

What are the specific tolerance text strings of the specific bees you're trying to breed? Specifically the princess, since the queen inherits its tolerances while alive. Then, if you check the middle tab of the apiaries interface it'll tell you the stats of the area your apiary is in. Compare them, if they don't match, then you'll have to relocate to a more suitable location for breeding that pairing.

I'm trying to breed diligent and water to get Ocean the diligent one is at 80% temp and 50% humidity and water is 50% both
Oh, you mean with the beealyzer?[DOUBLEPOST=1375363740][/DOUBLEPOST]Ok, so both my Water queens, have a tolerance of (0) for both temp and humidity

Oh, you mean with the beealyzer?

Yeah, on the first page (the "I") of the beealyzer it should say something like:
"Temperature: Normal (None)"
Humidity: Normal (None)"
Or something along those lines (Yours will most likely be different). If you hover of the middle tab on the apiary with your mouse, you'll get the same thing, its just a matter of comparing them.

Now, your bee tolerances may say something like "Normal (Up 1)", which means your bees can live happily in Normal and Warm biomes (for temperature) or Normal and Damp. You can also have 'Down 1' which goes down a step, and 'Both 1' which goes both up and down. The chart of temp\humidity looks like this:

Temperature:
Icy -> Cold -> Normal -> Warm -> Hot -> Hellish

Humidity:
Arid -> Normal -> Damp
