Hello,
I`ve got some problems with tropical bees. I made 10 apiaries in jungle, nearby my house (I live in a forest). Tropical bees don`t want live here! It`s very strange. When I break apiaries and replace them, bee have good environment. After close and open Minecraft, bees have "hostile environment". I must break apiaries and put bees into it, again and again. Where`s the problem? Help me, please. I have enclosed some screens.

Seliao,

It takes about 27 seconds before a queen will actually do something. This 27 seconds is a "bee tick" and bees only run their code to produce output, decrease lifetime remaining, and check for environment every "bee tick". Are you waiting 27 seconds or so after placing the Tropical Queen in the Apiary before checking for Hostile Environment ? During the first 27 seconds, they will just there and do nothing and it looks like they are happy, but they haven't checked yet for their environment.

As for Tropical Bees, they require the humidity of the Jungle biome and don't like Forest biomes. I believe you can place them in Ocean biomes, but like you, I've never gotten them to be happy in Forest or Plains biomes. Also, you really don't want Tropical bees near your house. They have a nasty poison effect. The only time I use Tropical is after I have ExtraBees machines I can override their effect with something more pleasant and change their humidity and temperature tolerance so they are happy in a Forest or Plains biome.

MigukNamja,

I did everything, what you recommended me. Bees still have "hostile envirorment". I have some apiaries in forest. There aren`t any problems with "27 seconds tick", bees have been living from 2 seconds. I have been waiting for 5 minutes in the jungle biome and nothing new happened (screen). Have you got some advice for me? I have enclosed some screens. I hope it come near my problem. I`d be thankfull, if you would help me again. :)

Don't tropical bees require vines in their vicinity to function? Not sure why it would be showing "hostile climate" instead of "no flowers", but have you tried putting some vines near these hives?

Like the person above me said. Jungle bees need vines, not flowers. You should be able to put them on your stone brick wall and still be in range of the apiary.

I am convinced that problem is not connected with "no flowers". If I destroy apiary and place it in the same place and put bees inside, all works. The problem is when I close Minecraft and open it again, "hostile environment" appears. It could be a forestry error and I don't know what to do with that. In previous messages I have attached some screens which presents the problem. I would be grateful if somebody help me.

What version of Forestry is it? There was (and might still be for all I know) a bug related to how the Apiary determine biome temperature and humidity. It can trigger especially if you've had the world through multiple versions or different combinations of mods that adds biomes.

If this is what is causing your problems, you might need to move your apiaries to a different location. A newly generated part of your world.

Maybe someone else here remember the bug and have an easier fix.

Thanks a lot ! ExtraBiomesXL caused my problem. I removed this addon and everything is okay.
