What's all the changes from playing on Normal difficulty to Insane?

Is there a chance to lose the princess?

I think the difficulty affects the chances of losing princesses and drones, the probability of getting hybrids and the amount of loots for lifespan. Not sure, but that's my guess based on playing on easy with the FTB Beta pack and on Insane on Mindcrack.
By the way, insane is just... Well, you're going to hate it :D

I didn't know there were dificulties apart from easy/normal/hard...

But on Mindcrack, the default is Normal, not insane, just saying.
