Hi everyone, here is my server info:
  • OS: Linux Ubuntu Yakkety Yak 16.10
  • Type of hosting: Dedicated Box
  • What version of FTB are you using? FTBserver-1.10.2-12.18.2.2171
  • Did you add any mods to the server pack? No Have not added any mods EXCEPT for running forge installer and adding sponge to mods folder as instructed. Disabled AE2 mod.
  • What are your server specs? MC-32 - 32G i7-4790K SSD 2x240G Server
  • Problem:
I have been able to successfully set up the multiplayer server, create the world file (had to disable AE2 to get the server to start). However, on single player when creating a new world there were multiple options to change terrain to BOP world, to modify various parameters and etc...
  1. Question: how do you modify the world type - such as making it BOP world vs default type and adjust world settings for the server world as it is possible to do in SP (via SP GUI). I changed a config in BOP folder misc.cfg - setting:
B:"Default to BoP World Type"=true (from false)
However this did not change the world to BOP world.

  2. Question: how can I modify landmass percentage - I used to use BOP configs to make it about 70% land. I see generator settings in server.properties and I edited the sea level settings which adjusted the endless ocean issue. Was wondering if there were any other options in 1.10.2 Direwolf20 pack?
Thank you everyone!

for AE2 with Sponge https://github.com/Stonebound/Applied-Energistics-2#about

1. set level-type=BIOMESOP in the server.properties

2. I wouldn't recommend changing the sea level due to orespawning etc. regarding generator-settings I don't think they work for BOP generation, but you can use the extremely powerful configuration it offers, here's the link to the wiki for more information
https://github.com/Glitchfiend/BiomesOPlenty/wiki/Configuring-Biomes
if that's too complicated you can always configure and create the world with your client and then move the folder to the server
