Force engines are a good option if you're a fan of MFR as well as Dartcraft. Instead of your starter Oak/Jungle tree farm you do Force Trees instead. Cows->sewer grate->composter->fertilizer to keep your tree farm at a good speed. Can start with a redstone furnace cooking wood into golden power source to drive your solid fuel combustion engine of choice(I tend to start with steam dynamos), then switch over to force engines once you have a squeezer. Cows->rancher to give you the milk throttle.
A single tree farm will provide you with all the force nuggets you'll ever need and golden power source works just about everywhere charcoal would.
As far as using them to run a quarry you'd probably want a tesseract pair to move the power/quarry products as moving the infrastructure for force engines every time you move the quarry would be a pain. That is why I tend to use magmatics for quarries. Easy to move since it is just an ender tank and a few pieces of fluid duct/conduit. I tend to have 2-3 quarries up before I have tesseracts.
...Old thread is old. Not exactly a Necropost, though @

That said, seriously, you have DartCraft, meaning you have a Force Wrench. Easier to use a tesseract pair then move the infrastructure when you move the quarry? I move the whole infrastructure for my whole base every time I find a new vista I like. And that happens roughly ever five minutes of looking around in a good world. And when/if the force rod upgrade that allows one to move the whole base at once is allowed for survival mode, then the whole base is moved in one go rather then grab a chest worth of machines, jam it into a chest, then force wrench the chest and add it to another chest which I end up force wrenching.
