Font Difference between FTB and Vanilla

HI all, I hope this is in the right place.

I have updated Minecraft Vanilla to 1.6.4 in order t have a look at a youtubers world download, and I have noticed a distinct difference in fonts.

Here's the main menu in Vanilla.


And heres the main menu In FTB.


Any way to get the FTB looking like Vanilla?

Do you have Optifine installed in FTB?
Optifine provides support for HD Fonts and other stuff (Connected Textures, Better Grass, Animations, etc.)
So you should get Optifine here. Google on how to install it.

That's the first thing I tried.

I believe the fonts are supplied by the texture pack you are using, are you sure there wasn't a font change between the 1.5 and 1.6 versions of that texture pack?

I notioced from the screenshots that you do have Optifine installed on the 1.5 FTB bt not on the 1.6.4.
That may be where the difference is. (Unless you already tried that. )

Yeah, I put optifine in to see if there was on option to make it a smaller font but there isnt, well there is but not to look like vanilla.

I have been browsing on my phone and it appears that 1.6 pack uses a different font than the 1.5 pre made FTB pack. So I think later on I will see if I can use the customiser and get the font that way.

Just had some time to check, it's not a problem with the modpack, but with the texture pack.
For example, here is a picture of Sphax + Optifine + Unleashed:

Well ive just tried to download a customised soartex pack and the font is still the same.

Im trying to get the font size to look like in 1.6x and i think it may not be possible for the time being.
