I'm on the 1.6.4 DW20 modpack. I play over LAN with my son, and I always host on my laptop. I'm on W7 with Java 1.7.0_45.

I've put about 100+ hours into a world with my son, and last night while exploring new areas, the game crashed. Since the crash, I have been unable to load the world. The crash happened as we entered a village in water. Looking at the crash report, I see an "exception in server tick loop."

I used MCEdit to move our players out of the chunk and back into our base, but no luck. Still crashing.

Any help is appreciated. I'll provide any additional information as needed.

Could you try a reset on that chunk. I must admit I am not expert at reading logs but I was thinking that something went wrong with the world gen. Do you have a backup of the world?

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, I don't have a backup. I'll give MCEdit a try -- I believe it can delete chunks.

so the world was unrecoverable, but I was able to export our base, reseed the world, and pop the base back in it's original spot. It's not a perfect fix, but it works.

thanks, unizero
