Hi,

I created a filler today which runs of biogas engines, it's nearly the same as this design of Etho:
(13:06)

But when I turn my filler on (with clear space recipe) it starts clearing items from the top... I have water and all that stuff to get the items under the whole thing, and I saw it should start from the bottom with removing items.

Is there any way to change this?

Also, if it removes items from the top it deletes the items within a second... I cant even get them, how can I get that taken care off?

I'm running the Mindcrack (latest) pack.

No. That was changed with buildcraft 3.4.0 to prevent people from exploiting the filler as a quarry. The items dropped by the filler should also disappear a few seconds after being broken to further prevent it from being exploited. Get a quarry instead.

Like the previous poster said, the filler was not meant to be used as a quarry. Besides being too cheap, there's another reason: LAG!
Screw up the collection system even slightly, and the old-style filler drops hundreds, thousands of items everywhere. Much better to simply have them disappear quickly.

So yeah, quarries FTW.

To sweeten the deal somewhat, note that quarries can now take up to about 75 MJ/t, I think, and speed up accordingly. (Of course, in Mindcrack's default config, you'll have to get a diamond drill first...)

Sigh.. I was pretty annoyed when I found this out the hard way. I was using a filler to make a kind of tree farm that was working perfectly. Then after the update I used it and all the tightly packed trees I had just dissapeared. :(
