Fermenters and Translocators.

It seems to me these aren't working together, can anyone verify this by any chance? It would be cool if I could use them both but if not then there's more options, just something I'm trying to verify or if anyone found a way to make these work together.

Perhaps a question to add to this.

What do you guys use (if at all) to keep a fermenter supplied with Fertilizer and / or saplings?
 
In my current world I'm using logistic pipes and it works pretty good.

simple setup

right click the supplier logistic pipe with a wrench, specify the item and amount you want to keep in the fermenter and set partial request to yes .
 
I've not used logistics pipes but I found with hoppers that only one side (the right I think) would accept fertilizer. Just didn't go in when connected to any other side.
