Well- you only ever need 1 division sigil- electrum and dia are pretty cheap. Oh- that's for the stable version.

i can agree with most of those statements but late game barrels wont cut it for cobble even a dsu will barely cut it once i get late game which is what i like the compressed cobble for. the pumps i would tweak to be on par with the bc pump and the quarry on par with the bc quarry just because they do use so much less resources cpu wise for the same size areas. and there is a mod called simple fluid tanks on curse that does exactly what you want i believe.Thanks. I know most of the items are listed there, but the last time I checked (which was a long time ago, admittedly) it wasn't complete. The new stuff wasn't covered. I'll look at it again if I have time.
I don't like most of those features, though, for reasons I'll list:
I know there's other stuff, but I don't remember it either.Generators: I just think they're OP and boring. Have random crap? Stuff it in a generator for RF! That's what windmills and solar panels are for.
Redstone Contraptions: Project Red. 'Nuff said.
Compact Liquid Storage: Meh... I'm more likely to download a dedicated iron tanks mod (if one exists).
Angel Blocks: Yeah those are actually pretty nice. So's the builder's wand.
Low Lag Pump and Quarry: I'm on the fence about these. The pump would be tweaked to be much more expensive. The quarry, I'm not sure.
Compact Mob Farm: I think I prefer MFR's system (which I realize is interlink-able). RFTools has a version as well, I just don't know how it works yet. I'm on the fence about this and the division sigil as well.
Trash Can: That can be something you automate early game.
Mufflers: That's what sound controls are for. (we have those in 1.7.10, right?)
Compressed Cobble: Barrels!
True. But you said yourself that many people ignore quests. As I said before, I'll think about it. The division sigil will not be the deciding factor.Well- you only ever need 1 division sigil- electrum and dia are pretty cheap. Oh- that's for the stable version.

For the cobble: Stick a void upgrade on your barrel. well with the default configs lava is all that pump can do but it also only works in the nether. but the way it works is it pulls 1 block of lava and instantly replaces it with stone without causing a block update that way the lag is alot less than if it were to let the lava flow.True. For the quarry and pump: the BC versions will remain as they are. The XU Quarry will probably be about the same, perhaps a little more expensive, but the pump will definitely be more expensive, as I think it's OP. Lava-Power is boring (don't lie, that's what you were going to use it for).
I'll check out simple fluid tanks. ^^
Well, you shouldn't need to get that much lava; just use an Igneous Extruder + Magma Crucible or Lava Fab to get whatever you need. Unless, of course, you want to use lava-power, in which case I feel fully justified in using the more expensive recipe.well with the default configs lava is all that pump can do but it also only works in the nether. but the way it works is it pulls 1 block of lava and instantly replaces it with stone without causing a block update that way the lag is alot less than if it were to let the lava flow.
Glad to know you're enjoying the pack! I understand that you don't know what OpenModularTurrets/IronMan do, but they wouldn't affect you, so don't worry.Questions 1-3; Answer:
So, as you know I am doing a livestream series on this modpack, and I am LOVING it!!!! I love the quests, it helps to teach me some of the mechanics of mods that I am not familiar with, and watching a tutorial and playing the game simultaneously is impossible, and if I do watch a tutorial, by the time I get back into game (which can be awhile since I only play while livestreaming) I usually forget what the tutorial say so, the quests have been a godsend.
Questions 4 and 5; Answer:
So I've never heard of those mods that you mentioned, so I don't really know what they do. However, I only play on peaceful and if I ran a server it would be on peaceful itself (I really don't like mobs and the combat system of minecraft, and i prefer building and exploring to fighting monsters or other players.).
By the way, my suggestions for this modpack on the original thread still stands. (I am not going to repeat them here.)
Extra Cells: Yes. It's useful for getting water into an Actively-Cooled Big Reactor, I've heard. Will Extra Cells be added? AE fluid storage mod. Also, I love ender qurries becuase their size is unlimited and you get to move the quarry less often. They also can consume 20,000 RF/tick at max speed I think.
the only reason i ever keep a pair of magmatic dynamos laying around is in case my quarry for some odd reason is getting no yellorium for my reactor. and the one mod im kinda missing cause im so used to seeing it with tinkers is iguana tweaks. it can take a while to set up the config for iguana tweaks tho so i can understand if you dont want to add it but at least everything is configurable. about the previous comment about extra cells i think that would be a good idea for storage of fluids.Well, you shouldn't need to get that much lava; just use an Igneous Extruder + Magma Crucible or Lava Fab to get whatever you need. On the other hand, if you did ever play on a server with other players and/or mobs, OMT would protect you against both hostile players and mobs without you needing to react quickly; you'd just need to build/automate them. So it may well be a bonus to you if you every try server play.
EDIT: Simple Fluid Tanks are (almost) identical to OpenBlocks tanks. Therefore, I'm not adding it.
Please post in English. Or at least in phonetic lettersربلن
I'm just saying lava shouldn't be your primary energy source.the only reason i ever keep a pair of magmatic dynamos laying around is in case my quarry for some odd reason is getting no yellorium for my reactor. and the one mod im kinda missing cause im so used to seeing it with tinkers is iguana tweaks. it can take a while to set up the config for iguana tweaks tho so i can understand if you dont want to add it but at least everything is configurable. about the previous comment about extra cells i think that would be a good idea for storage of fluids.
Wow! You're incredible. I can't wait!!!I'm just saying lava shouldn't be your primary energy source.
IT will be in the next update. It's all modular now, so I can get the easy cool stuff like tool leveling and skip the hard stuff like material restrictions.
Firstly, the pack is awesome! There's finally a pack not focused on hard stuff- or just kitchen sink.
But, I have a few problems:
A. The quests: The storyline is practically nonexistant. Quests are great tutorials- but a lot of people know these mods. I for one, ignore the quests. If there were more developed quests, they would be much more appealing. For example: Add a story behind the pack that you uncover through quests. The quest description should be something explaining what to do with the items needed for the quest. And rewards. They need to have something to do with the quest, and be an incentive to do the quest. A cookie is a bad incentive. Some resources or a mod item, or reward bag is a good incentive.
B. Buildcraft. This pack seems to rely heavily on buildcraft. A lot of people love BC, but I don't. The mod's great, but I think there are better mods. I know you don't want to add Extra Utilities, but I think it will turn out perfect for the pack with some minetweaking. It's pipes should be more expensive and some generators removed. The main problem with BC for me is the quarry. It causes way more lag, can only be 64*64. Ender quarries you can upgrade for silk, fortune, speed, pump liquid, and make a hole instead of placing dirt. They aren't that OP since they are not very early-game by recipe and require a ton of power. But you dont have to change quarry sites every 2 days or so. You get a mining dimension and builder's wands, both made with an unstable ingot from a ritual. You think rituals are not techy? Change the recipe for unstable ingots to use something like enderium instead of a division sigil. In general, it would be useful, with some minetweaking it will not be OP and still fit the pack's style.
oh i completely agree that lava shouldnt be a primary power source in an open world map. on a skyblock where the only real renewable power source that there really is is lava i can understand lava being a main power source. but im glad to hear IT will be in soon (tm).I'm just saying lava shouldn't be your primary energy source.

TBH, charcoal is the easiest renewable resource in a skyblock map. Got a tree? you got power.
well with ex nihilo the crucible and an automatic cobble gen you have infinite amounts of lava.TBH, charcoal is the easiest renewable resource in a skyblock map. Got a tree? you got power.
