Hi everyone,

I'm trying to run a feed the beast server. However, when I run the server it looks like it works fine, but even with the port forwarded, it won't open to the outside of my router. I can access it just fine from inside my network, but none of my friends can.

I have tried editing the server properties to include the IP from my router, it still doesn't open the port. I tried with my external IP, then it just tells me that I might already have a server running on that port.

The server is Running Windows XP. The computers trying to connect are running windows 7. I'm totally confused on why this isn't working.

I have included pictures of my port forwarding settings and my server properties.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

I am by no means an expert, but it might be your firewall that is blocking access to the port (Mine does that). Also, it might help to foward the port using the UDP protocol as well. But again, I'm not an expert, so it could be something I can't think of at the moment.

Maybe your ISP is a massive asshole like mine and it they don't allow servers to be hosted on low tier packages, I found asking a technician nicely to unblock the ports you need will work fine, the hard part it talking directly to the technician.

No, they just did a free speed upgrade for everyone and my modem settings got reset to standard. So I had to go in and forward all of the ports to my router. But their tech support people suck ass. I won't say who it is, but their name begins with com and ends with cast.
