Farm Question!

So I made this big area and then plonked down my combine, and realised it doesn't replant!

I looked on the webs and found out I needed a Farm to replant seeds, but it says it digs and places dirt, and Im just confused.

I was wondering where I should place the 'Farm' and what will happen, Thanks

Place the farm, power it, give it dirt. It'll construct its own wheat field.

If you want to use a custom wheat field, look into Thaumcraft Golems. They own at this stuff.

Just put the farm next to it, or close, and give the farm seeds, dirt, and power. Best results would be to pump the seeds from the combine into the farm block and have the wheat and any extra seeds go somewhere else. I believe you need about 2 stacks of dirt or so for the farm to plant it all, but once it lays down the initial soil, it will never need dirt again. Hope this helps!

Oh, and get those Rubies in the back. If GT actually did disable RP2 oregen, you're going to need it pretty soon.

What it will do is place a ring of dirt around itself in a 15x15 square with a 9x9 empty square in the middle. I placed my various farms right next to their harvester counterparts.

However, from everything I've seen, these farms will be removed at some point, so its worth experimenting with the new multiblock farms and getting used to them.

Is there any golems that ONLY plant seeds?

you could have a turtle do the replanting, if you are into coding and whatnot. Those little guys work wonders for me all over my base. Love them!

I agree on the golem thing Just make a culster of 9x9 plots with 1 water in the center. 1 straw and 1 wood can get almost a full 9x9 set of 9x9 plots. Just make sure the straw is smart (so he replants) and the wood has sight bouns (either glasses or the precetive core).
