Failure to connect to LAN server.

I have been unable to connect to my own server for the past few days. I've tried rebooting the DNS, re-downloading FTB, and made sure that my server was online and the firewall is not the problem. The reply comes out as "Connection timed out: connect". Any other suggestions to fix the problem?
