Failed to verify username

I host a horizons server online (not on my pc), I was playing last night until about midnight, everything was working fine and others were able to connect.

This morning it won't let me log in (unsure about others) and I get the following error message:

Failed to verify username[internal error java.io.Exception: server returned HTTP response code 403: for URL http://session.minecraft.net/game/checkserver.jsp?=userWestloar&serverId=643a7c662da436047...]

I've tried restarting the server, clearing my profile from the FTB launcher, relaunching the FTB launcher and all the fixes online are outdated and refer to changing your server to offline mode and back (seems to be for local hosted servers).

The mojang servers are up and healthy and I can't think of any reason why this is happening, I haven't changed any server settings either :S

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm guessing you didn't see the other two threads with the exact same title?

I'm fairly certain https://help.mojang.com/ only displays the status of the 1.7.X+ Authentication servers, that would explain why they appear to be up.
