F key doesn't work

Just downloaded the Monster pack. I am trying to reassign keys to my configuration and the F key will not work.
I notice that by default, it is already assigned to two other uses. I've changed those other two to other keys leaving the F only for my purpose. However it still does not work. To verify, I DLed Monster on my second PC and the exact same problem occurred there. I also use the pc for playing vanilla 1.7.4 & recently attempted the Ultimate pack...but that shouldn't have anything to do with it.
Any thoughts?

Are you sure you have F set as only one option, no other assigns? Was it working in the past? FTB Monster version? Can you use something else instead of the "F" key. It could potentially be locked or something in the configs, but that is unlikely and I don't know much about Java!

I went through every option to make sure. Even the "All commands" option. Yes, FTB Monster version. Has never worked for Monster. But it works in vanilla and Unleashed/Ultimate (whichever pack I dl'ed).
My guess is that making the change on the gui isn't actually making the change...or one of the mods is permanently locking it.

Try changing it in the actual configs. Changing it in the gui should automatically change the config but in the past, I've had it not do that and only work after editing the config file. It sould be a pretty simple change if you just find the section where it has the key bindings.

Or just set it to a key that isn't F.

Go to wherever you have your Monster folder (Downloads by default) then Monster --> Minecraft --> config and then find whichever mod(s) you're trying to change. If that doesn't work, as mentioned by someone above, it's possible that a mod could be locking F to something, and if so, set it to something different.

Probably caused by TC4 focus key. Not sure though.

TC4...? That doesn't seem to be in the normal controls menu. I also looked in the options config file...There was only the one instance of the F key being registered. Something else is definitely blocking it.
