that is probably your problem, allocate 1024 exactly, you will never need any more that that for minecraft unless you use a texturepack over 64x64.

Here you go. This is from the ForgeModloader Log.

http://pastebin.com/RjZtgLPD[DOUBLEPOST=1362260941][/DOUBLEPOST]Never mind. Turns out when I re-downloaded the launcher it set it back down to 1GB. But it's still crashing.

hmm, just so we can rule out ram problems once and for all why don't you look in task manager and see how much ram your computer is useing because you might have some programs running in the background you don't know about using up a bunch of ram.

Really stupid question. How do you access the task manage on a mac? I've never had to use it before.

I'd actually reduce the RAM allocated to Minecraft. You might be trying to use more than your system actually has free.

Try dropping it to 1.5GB and then 1GB and see if that improves your situation or makes it worse. (Dropping it below 1GB will definitely make it worse.)

Velocitan, the crash looks memory-related, but definitely not an issue with RAM bounds.

Pretty much every world. About 30 seconds into messing around in a DW map it crashes. And I just entered the TF and it immediately crashed.

Please do tell, IDK if the OP has the problem you're referring to but AE seems to be causing that problem for me.

i was thinking that it was leaf rendering issues, since they are transparent in the redwood forests and other such biomes which are really common and being in a redwood forest can cause massive ram usage and can cause memory leaks after a while. and i was thinking of mystcraft, i think i seen in the log a mystcraft world being mentioned and i know from experience that having alot of mystcraft worlds will cause problems, and going in and out of dimensions for somereason causes massive memory leaks and i would assume that things like carts or chunk loaders in mystcraft worlds would cause the same effect. if the crash happens on a superflat world with neither of thoes things or anything else mod related really that could cause crashes then it would probably, but not definitely, be a lot more complicated to solve as it could be java issues or anything really outside of the game itself. it might be something as stupid simple as turning the graphics to fast or something.
