Extreme lag issue :S

So im playing on a pretty good pc can run Skyrim on ultra without lag, and run vanilla minecraft with about 120 frames on max settings. But on FTB my frames go down to 5 frames, whatever i do, i've put 4 gigs of ram into it, but nothing changes it. I've tried to install optifine, but that didn't help me out. So im wondering if there is anyone who can help me discover the problem?[DOUBLEPOST=1369437391][/DOUBLEPOST]And btw, im using FTB Ultimate pack.

What is your world like? It could be due to a servere ammount of lag-causing blocks. I ALWAYS get much much lower FPS on Ultimate.

Well, i just made a new world and got no machines and stuff running in the world, still around 5 frames.

Hm.... Try running another game. Also, try updating java. As for allocating ram, don't give more than 75% because your computer needs some ram and if you don't give it any it will be unhappy.

Well i have 8 gigs of ram so that cant be the problem. Tried running another game, Skyrim (again) and no lagg there :S

same here. I also play on ultimate. Is there any way to keep your server and move to a different mudpack?

Well. I have lots of lag personally on any modpack also. It's due to my harddrive speed. Try turning off all of your sound, any sound anywhere with minecraft.
