Extreme lag from title screen and progresses to game

  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Title Extreme lag from title screen and progresses to game

Launcher Type Curse App

Modpack Direwolf 20 1.10.2

Modpack version 1.0.0

Have you modified the pack? Yes

Link to log file Added Torcherino mod to modlist

Details of the issue Firstly the game starts slowly, and on title screen the game lags intensely. attempted to use diffrent 1.10 modpacks and the same lag intensity occurs. However when using modpacks from before 1.10 this extreme lag does not occur. I have also used the FTB launcher and the Curse launchers. Also, I have 4.5 gb of ram allocated to the minecraft instance. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

the Lag is there... it lasts for less than a min (Not sure why there is no log to find the reason) but I would suggest your memory be 5 or 6 gig (recommend at least 6gig)

turn off mipmaps in the cofig file ( "0" ) for minecraft. doing it in game might crash it. getting a gpu with a ton of onboard memory might help too. I found 4gb seems to work. if turning off mipmaps isn't a option for you.

I have mipmaps off and also run 4 gig - it's a little jumpy at times and some Lag spikes here and there at 4 gigs, but it runs fairly decent.

sorry, for the 4gb I meant on the graphics card. Mipmaps don't seem to affect my framerate much at all on that gpu. I've had mini lag spikes. not for sure what causes them. things like opening double doors will cause a good dip in fps for me. I've heard the cpu might not be a very good one though. it is even up in the air if it is better then my last one. The rest of the computer is much better though. The op's post sounds like mipmaps. could be wrong though.

i've been trying to figure out the different causes of lag in my game and fix them as much as I am able. It is tough finding them though. Still not sure on what causes some of it.
