Extreme FPS fluctuation

On the server I play on my FPS will be running at the 70-90 range, then randomly drop to 5-10 and will stay there for about 10 or 20 minutes then go back up to 70-90 for 5 - 10 minutes then drop again and it keeps happening. I only play on this one server so I dont know if it's something at my base, or what it is. If you have any suggestions on how I can get my FPS to stay steady at around the 50+ area please let me know.


The server runs the Ultimate Pack with gregtech disabled, and the only part of Mystcraft allowed is linking books to the nether, end, and bases. (If that helps at all or anything)

I'm assuming this is the console you mean, it's the one that opens when you open the launcher, this is everything it says from when i open it to when it finishes launching the modpack.

Nice. Them their the logs we need.... :)

  1. Open the launcher, select the options tab, and change the install path from the desktop to "C:\FTB\" without the quotes.
  2. Follow the link in my signature about java parameters.
I was having this issue, play fine for about 10 min, then 5-15 min of 1-5 fps.... it sucked. This fixed it for me, hope your mileage is as good.

The numbers I have posted should work very well...

If you try them and they don't work, you most likely have other issues... But if you quote me I'll come up with some bigger numbers that all add up.

And your using the latest verison of the modpack, right? Backup your mod folder.. DELETE the mod folder, and try downloading it agian. If that does not work, I'll post some new numbers for you. How much RAM total installed in your system?
