How can I extract items from a emerald pipe without using a redstone engine? I need to have something that can be on 24/7 that wont explode.

a redstone engine will never explode aslong as its giveing power to something like a pipe

Not quite sure of this... Wont the engine explode if it is powering a pipe but isnt pumping anything out of the pipe?
