Extra bees vs. thaumic bees: duplicated brands?

Hi, I want to start out with saying, yes; I have searched around before comming here.

I am playing FTB ultimate on a 1.0.1 server (It's rather outdated, I know), and I am working with bees.

As we are using gregtech, the extra bees diamond bees only produce diamond dust... and I want the real stuff, and discovered that thaumic bees have a branch that produces diamond nuggets, whitch can be crafted into diamonds.

So I started out breeding Industrious and diligent, as they are supposed to give iron bees, but I have had no luck. I've been able to breed new species with a lower likelyhood percentage much faster, and I haven't had any bee with the "iron" species trait at all despite using soul frames on bees with shorter life... Are the thaumic metallic bees in Ultimate 1.0.1 at all?

Have you checked the uncraftable (i.e. admin/creative only) Master Apiarist Database (aka Flora in a Box)? It'll tell you (among many other things) whether or not the iron bees actually exist in the version of Thaumic Bees that you're using.

I suggest you download NEIAddons for 1.4.7 and add it to your mod list. It can be a client side only mod. It will add all of the bee breeding to NEI. I did a quick test and it doesn't look like the Iron Bee is part of Ultimate 1.0.1.

Thank you both of you. I didn't think about the master apiarist database, but you are indeed correct... The branches I was trying to breed is not in the modpack. Thank you for being awesome guys!
