Extra Bees : Rocky Branch - Need Assistance

Hello Everyone

I am currently engaged in bee breeding and I am trying to breed through the rocky branch, but for 5 days straight I have been having trouble getting any sign of the Stone bee (2nd tier rocky branch bee). According to the ingame database. I should be cross-breeding common bees with rocky bees. once in a while I get common/stone or rocky/stone but I dont seem to be able to get a actual stone bee. What really makes me confused is that instead of getting stone bees when cross breeding rocky and common, I get hardy, and lots of them. Is there some other condition I am not aware of to be able to actually breed the stone bee? biome, "flower" aka rocks that is needed to breed them etc.. ?

Here's my suggestion. Build an Isolator/Inoculator combo (with all the other machines that are needed like genepool etc). As soon as you get a stone hybrid, put that in the isolator until you get the stone genome. Inoculate that into a princess and drone and voila. Pure stone.

Hardy is the third in the line. Since nothing mutates with stone except the bees to get Hardy, you dont need stone

Rocky -> stone -> hardy -> resilient, and from there splits off to all the metals and gems

This is the best idea to save lots of Real world time. Ever since I realized this I have saved a ton of time either by giving bees the 3x drone fertility and cloning bees the old fashion way by constantly breeding other bees with the drones until they turn or by simply turning them into the bees with the machines.

It may be a little cheaty but to be honest I would rather breed the bee the correct way first to get the genes I want and then clone them to save me the trouble of waiting hours for the same bee a second time. Its mostly just a problem with bees that only offer a fertility of 1 drone like resilient > metal I seem to always be unlucky enough to get a different drone than the princess.
