I don't know anything about evolve and have never even heard of it, but the ftb launcher isn't what the game plays on. Java.exe is what runs minecraft

You need to get it to recognize the actual Minecraft client, not tye launcher.

Yep, the FTB launcher doesn't have any hooks for Evolve to use. In theory, it might still have worked if there was only one modpack. With there being multiple to choose from, Evolve can't really interpret what you want it to do. You possibly can direct it to the saved modpack once you downloaded it and create a startup script (please google how, as this depends on your OS).

Or, in all fairness, just use the standard FTB one. Evolve is nice and all, but the quality/CPU-usage ratio for recording is mediocre at most. For recording tools, I suggest you either use OBS or, if you have the required hardware, Shadowplay.

Here's my idea: Don't use the FTB Launcher if you want to use the evolve launcher. Unless you can make it hook onto the game itself even when it's run via FTB, don't bother. Or, if you must use the FTB Launcher(which you don't have to, as a reminder, but simple systems are often the best), find another program that's less picky. I've seen some good suggestions in this thread to boot.
