Hello,

I've tried updating my launcher. But every time I do I get a "Java Virtual Machine Launcher" error.
Here is my pastebin -
http://pastebin.com/8kAccxFe

Not sure what is wrong. This error only occurs when I update the launcher.
I want to download the new 1.6.4 Direwolf pack, but it won't let me unless I update the launcher, however when I update the launcher I get this error with every pack I try to play. I was playing the Unleashed mod pack.

Thank you for your help,

~Lady

[INFO] JavaFinder.parseWinJavaVersion:137: Java Version: 1.4.2 sorted as: 1.4.2_0 32 Bit Java at : C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin\java.exe
You have a really old version of Java still installed and for some reason the launcher is preferring it and using it. Uninstall that version.

Actually no. I have version Version 7 Update 45. And I always uninstall previous versions before installing the newest update.
So that is not the issue. And my husband is running the exact version and has NO issues at all.

I saw that you had Java 7u45 as well that was in your log as a version listed, but the launcher sees/believes there is a version of Java in the folder listed below and is trying to use it.

[INFO] JavaFinder.parseWinJavaVersion:137: Java Version: 1.4.2 sorted as: 1.4.2_0 32 Bit Java at : C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin\java.exe
So please humor me and check in your Control Panel. If it is not in your Control Panel then make a backup and remove the folder listed above manually. If it is not there then I do not know what to tell you as there has to be a reason that the launcher is seeing that as a valid Java version.

Thank you for your help.
I completely removed Java, started fresh with the same version and now it works.
Weird. But again, thank you for your help and Merry Christmas!
