Error with Harvester/Planter

Hello Guys

I have a Problem with my Harvester/Planter at my Treefarm. Theres a Problem that i figured out. If i go too far away, The Harvester doesn´t Harvest anymore and the Tree will only be harvested half. I also placed a Chunkloader and theres enough Energy to use (the MFSU is full all time)

does anyone have a clue how to solve the problem?

Screenshot please? And what chunkloader you using? Railcraft or the Chicken one (Has a spinning crystal above it)? If its the railcraft one, are you feeding it enderpearls? For the chicken one, is it covering the area and is the crystal spinning? If its not spinning its been disabled by redstone.

By half I assume you mean the bottom log is cut and nothing else. This is an error within the mechanics with which the harvester checks. The only way to remedy this is:
1) increase the size of the farm so the canopy of one tree doesn't cover the whole farm and allow other trees to grow(When others grow the unharvested tree will get harvested as well)

2) Use a type of tree that grows regardless of line of sight to the sun

3) Use a fertilized tree farm.

ok im gonna try it with the bigger farm and yes i use a fertilized farm. also i use the chicken Chunkloader and i increased the range of it and it covers the whole tree farm. thx for the answers im gonna post if it worked or not tommorow
