Error while downloading files

Ok, so I'm trying to set up the FTB pack on my friend's laptop so we can play on a server together, but have run into a few issues that weren't present when installing the modpack on my laptop. Firstly, when installing the launcher, I'm getting an error stating that there was an issue downloading the modpack files; reinstalling does not fix the issue. The launcher still opens, however, and upon trying to launch the D20 modpack, the launcher downloads the files, and then freezes after the download is complete. Any idea what is going wrong or how I can fix it?

Are you using a spotty Wifi connection? If so, plug that sucker in!
If not, you need to make sure it will download within 10 minutes of starting the download. Right now, creeperhost times out the download after 10 minutes.
