Error Installing any FTB Modpacks from the new launcher

I am trying to download the updated FTB Academy 1.2 modpack from the new launcher but everytime I try to do so, an error occurs stating "Error installing FTB Academy - /Volumes/FTBA 5/FTBApp.app/Contents/Resources/app/bin/launcher.dmg (Read-only file system) -

This error pops up when i attempt to download any modpack from the new launcher, if anyone could provide assistance that would be great as I am looking forward to playing the updated FTB Academy with friends who seem to download it just fine. I am using a Mac which could provide an issue? Although I have the Mac OS FTBApp downloaded.

I am having the same issue but i am trying to download Ultimate Reloaded. i get a similar error message: Error installing FTB Ultimate Reloaded - /private/var/folders/hq/jhrms0528b_23wpc371q9lh0000gn/T/AppTrasnlocation/30F4DD9BEF23/d/FTBApp.app/Contents/Resources/app/bin/launcher.dmg (Read-only file system). I am also using a mac, and downloaded the correct version of the launcher.

try to run it as administrator, this worked for me (windows 10).

Mine is working now after disabling apples built in security system called gatekeeper, just look on google how to disable gatekeeper (it involves going into the terminal and typing sudo spct1 --master-disable) once you do this it should download with no problem.
