Hey guys, trying to download any pack always gives me the "Error Downloading Pack" error.

Here's what the console has to say and its defense.

I've tried turning off my firewall but it did not solve the problem.

Hope you guys can help me! :)

You have multiple versions of java installed. Remove all of them and install the latest x64 one from here.

If you are trying to play the new 1.6 packs make sure to increase the ram slider in the options to 2GB.

I did what you said but apparently he still thinks I have two Javas installed. I unistalled everything and intalled Java 7 Update 45 but it still gives out the same error. I'm not sure where he's getting more than one Java now...

EDIT: Okay so now it started downloading but it froze 2 secs after and gave me the same error again. Maybe the Console says something different.

Bump. Really need help :(

Please don't bump your post you are not more important than anybody else.

Have you check that your av / firewall program is not blocking java. Also try going to the options then advanced options and changing the download location to something other than automatic.

AVG doesn't seem to be blocking Java at all. But then again AVG is a liar most of the time so I'm guessing I'll have to unninstall it to be able to download anything from both Technical and Feed The Beast Launchers.

I personally use Avast although you may have to add an exception to it so it does not block it.
