Hi there, I was trying to download the FTBLite2 modpack, but I was getting the Error Downloading Modpack problem. So, I followed the best advice I could find here, which was to do a clean reinstall of FTB and Java.

After reinstalling FTB, I still can't download FTBLite, it gets to a certain point and then stops downloading and an error message pops up. Here's the log in Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/gu1XkwM5

EDIT: According to status.feed-the-beast.com, all the repositories are offline. Without further information, I'll have to assume that this is the cause of my problem.

Make sure that your av/firewall is not blocking either java or the ftb launcher. If it is then add and exception to the FTB folder, include sub folders as well, to your av/firewall.

You could also try downloading the pack from a different location by changing it in the advanced options section of the launcher by setting it to the closest location to you.

It's not being blocked, it's downloading to a certain point and then giving me the error. And I checked to make sure that I have enough disk space.

As for the download location thing, I have it set to Los Angeles, which is closest to me, and it didn't make a difference.

It works now, I just had to add the launcher to the Avast! global exceptions list. I had been shutting down the shields and had added the install folder to the exceptions, but I didn't realize I also had to do that to the launcher.

I've never had a problem like this with Avast! antivirus before, this is definitely new territory for me.
